About Prana Flow® Yoga:
Prana = "life-force of creation"
Flow = the state of unified consciousness
  • "Prana Flow is an energetic, creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga cultivated by Shiva Rea and the Global Vinyasa Collective of Teachers. Students of all levels are empowered to experience prana - the universal source of breath, life-energy and conscious intelligence - as the navigating source of yoga practice and vital living. Practitioners learn classical and innovative approaches to vinyasa yoga and the state of flow drawn from Krishnamacharya's teachings, Tantra, Ayurveda, Bhakti, Somatics and Shiva's teaching experience from the last fifteen years." About Yoga Nidra:
Yoga = union, oneness
Nidra = sleep
Definition: Yoga Nidra is described as "yogic sleep," or expanded awareness in a state of deep-relaxation.
  • Yoga Nidra is not the practice itself, but rather a state of consciousness that can be achieved through particular relaxation techniques, visualizations, and body-awareness meditation. While various methods are used, most of them involve laying on your back with your eyes closed and following the guidance of the instructor’s voice through each body part.  Mostly, it’s about turning the awareness inwardly, becoming a witness to the experience, and welcoming whatever arises. Read more about Yoga Nidra in the blog!
  • My Yoga Nidra training was at the Sivananda Yoga Farm in Grass Vally, California with Dr. Marc Halpern.

TESTIMONIALS:

"Camina has provided a most valuable introduction to the practice of yoga nidra during these last months. Her sessions offer the deepest relaxation of an entirely new kind to me. The tranquility and beauty  I experience through her guidance is quite profound and surprising even. Everything seems clear and fine and safe as I listen to her lovely voice and follow her directions, aware and awake but deeply calmed. And, as I have come to know and trust this special "place" within myself, more and more I find my difficult life to be considerably eased.  I would like to continue this very beneficial practice indefinitely."   -Nancy M.

"I have been taking yoga classes from Camina since fall of 2013.  Camina is a natural instructor.  She is knowledgeable, encouraging and cheerful.  Every class is different and surprising.  All include a mix of challenging, reinforcing, and relaxing poses.  The sessions flow naturally, and are accompanied by inspirational music.  At the end of each class I always feel like it was exactly what I needed for that day!"  -Lisa N.

"After our yoga nidra class I happened to see my doctor later that day and my blood pressure was the lowest it's ever been!"  -Participant from the Exchange Bank Wellness Program

"Camina Gillotti introduced us to yoga nidra a few months ago and it has been a wonderful experience.  It is an indescribably calming process that transports us to a totally relaxed, yet aware place of contentment and comfort.  Camina's soothing voice leads us through visualizations that relax the mind and body and create a sense of peace that is hard to describe.  She uses a variety of visualizations and guided meditations which adds to the depth of the yoga nidra experience.  She always asks how the experience has been for us after the sessions and adjusts each session according to the needs of the individuals.  We are enthralled with the process and enjoy it thoroughly."  -Elaine and Shirley E.
